The company builds almost 5,000 new homes annually across England, Scotland and Wales, and is also creating a number of mixed-use schemes throughout the UK which combine offices and leisure facilities with new homes.

Redevelopment of the South Yard Enclave to create Vision will be carried out by Redrow Homes (West Country), one of the newest regional housing companies within the Redrow group.

Based in Exeter, so far we have launched developments in Launceston, North Cornwall, Tiverton, Winkleigh,  Plympton, Tavistock and Barnstaple.

The Devonport scheme, however, is by far our biggest venture in this part of the country and we are very excited about getting started.

There will be a massive choice of housing, including a large number of affordable homes to make sure that there really is something for everyone at Vision. The development will eventually total over 450 new homes, shops, offices and community facilities. The housing mix will include everything from one-bedroom flats to four-bedroom family homes, with affordability at the forefront at every level.

About 350 of the homes will be for private sale. In addition, over a hundred homes will be for affordable rent or shared ownership via a local housing association.

We are very pleased and proud that English Partnerships chose us for this project, which is said by many to be putting the heart back into Devonport. Creating communities is hugely important to Redrow – we are not just a house builder. All over the country we are involved in initiatives which support the arts, sport, education and other community projects. We hope that very soon we will become a central part of the Devonport community.
