| Giving Devonport a New 'Vision' |
|
FOR a development as exciting and original as Redrow’s Vision scheme in Devonport, an extra special sales consultant was needed. And it seems 33-year-old Clare Taylor, an experienced sales consultant, definitely fits the bill. Since joining the team at Redrow, Clare has been getting to grips with the regeneration project and reacquainting herself with the Devonport area. She says: “I’m so excited about Vision and proud to be part of a team that will have such a dramatic, beneficial impact on the area. It’s great being able to come in at the beginning of such a fantastic scheme and be able to watch it progress and grow. I used to live in Torpoint so I know Devonport pretty well.” Clare, who now lives in Kingsteignton, will be using her knowledge of the area to help the residents of Devonport with any queries they may have about Vision. She says: “I know a lot about the area, as I grew up in and around Devonport, and I have been combining my sales experience and ability with local knowledge.” Previously, Clare worked for Wainhomes for eight-and-a-half years where she gained invaluable experience of selling property. She adds: “I would recommend Vision to home hunters from all walks of life. So many exciting things have happened at the development, such as the first section of the wall coming down and the opening of the information centre on site. Currently we are taking registrations of interest from potential customers and hope to begin selling the first homes in April. I am really looking forward to the rest of 2007 as it is a really exciting time for Redrow and Vision.” The 18-acre mixed-use regeneration scheme on the site of the former MoD South Yard Enclave will eventually feature more than 450 new homes, shops, offices and community facilities. Ed White, sales director for Redrow Homes (West Country), says: “Clare has joined Redrow with a proven track record in the new homes industry. She will be a valuable member of the Redrow team and the people of Devonport could not ask for a friendlier person to buy their new home from.” Redrow Homes (West Country) is part of the award winning Redrow group, which builds around 5,000 new homes each year. The Exeter-based subsidiary is currently building in Launceston, Tiverton, Barnstaple, Plympton, Winkleigh and Tavistock, as well as in Devonport.
Editor’s footnote: Redrow Homes has been awarded Major Housebuilder of the Year 2006 in the annual Building Awards, for its success in helping first time buyers onto the property ladder with its Debut range, whilst still maintaining a healthy profit margin. Additionally Redrow has been voted Housebuilder of the Year by national consumer property magazine Your New Home, as well as winning the Best Development for First Time Buyers category for its innovative Debut range and Best New Build Village for Buckshaw Village in Chorley, Lancs.
